Rental Properties
Letting agents and homes to rent, from city flats to family houses with a garden.
We’re building this directory
We’re adding letting agents across the UK. If you’re one of them, list your business and be among the first people see here.
What a letting agent does
A letting agent handles some or all of renting out a home for a landlord. Most offer three levels of service.
- Tenant find: marketing, viewings, referencing and setting up the tenancy
- Rent collection: as above, plus collecting rent and chasing arrears
- Fully managed: day-to-day management, repairs, inspections and compliance
What to check
In England, letting agents must belong to a government-approved redress scheme and to a client money protection scheme, and must display their fees clearly. Ask to see both memberships before you sign.
For tenants, most letting fees in England are banned. A holding deposit is capped at one week’s rent, and a tenancy deposit at five weeks’ rent where the annual rent is under £50,000.
Choosing letting agents
Common questions about searching, comparing and getting in touch.
How do I find letting agents near me?
Enter a town, city or the first part of your postcode in the search box to see providers covering that area. We are adding businesses to each directory, so if there are none near you yet, our guides explain what to look for when choosing one.
How should I compare providers?
Look at the services each one specialises in, check any professional registration that applies, and read independent reviews. Then contact two or three directly and compare their answers, fees and how quickly they respond.
Does it cost anything to use the directory?
No. Searching and contacting businesses is free. Any fees are agreed directly between you and the provider you choose.
How do I add my business?
Use the List Your Business page to send us your details. Once reviewed, your profile appears in the relevant directory and in location searches.

Are you one of the letting agents we should be listing?
Add your business and be found by people searching in your area.
